1.3 Information From Third Parties
We may receive information about you from advertising and review platforms (for example, Google, Meta, Yelp, Houzz, or Thumbtack) when you interact with our listings or ads on those services.
2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, including:
- Essential cookies — required for the Site and forms to function.
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the Site.
- Advertising and measurement pixels — including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which allows us to measure the performance of our advertising and show ads to people who have visited the Site. [ADD GOOGLE ANALYTICS / GOOGLE ADS TAG / ANY OTHER TOOLS HERE]
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may prevent parts of the Site, including the quote form, from working correctly.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is currently no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, and the Site does not respond to DNT signals at this time.
Third-Party Tracking Across Sites
Third parties, including the advertising and analytics providers named above, may collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site. We do not control those third parties’ collection practices. You can review their policies directly:
- Meta: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/

4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We share information in the following circumstances:

| Subcontractors and trade partners | To perform work at your property (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC) |

5. Marketing Communications and Your Choices
5.1 Email
We use Intuit Mailchimp to send marketing emails about our services, promotions, and project ideas. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link in the footer, along with our physical mailing address. You can opt out at any time by clicking that link, or by emailing contactus@hi-techbuildersinc.com. Opt-out requests are processed immediately and in all cases within 10 business days.
Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop transactional messages related to an active project (scheduling, invoices, permit updates, and similar).
5.2 Phone Calls
If you submit a quote request, you are asking us to contact you, and we will call you about that request. Separately, we may call you about promotions or services if you have given us permission to do so. You can ask us to stop calling at any time by telling the caller, or by contacting us using the details in Section 10. We maintain an internal Do Not Call list and honor requests for at least five years.
5.3 Text Messages
We send two kinds of text messages:
- Project and service messages — scheduling, crew arrival, and status updates related to work you have requested or engaged us for.
- Promotional messages — only to people who have separately opted in.
Where you have consented, messages may be sent using automated technology. Consent to receive promotional messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, or by any other reasonable method, including telling us in a reply message, by email, or by phone. We will honor opt-out requests within 10 business days. Reply HELP for assistance.
6. Your Privacy Rights (California Residents)
California residents may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Delete personal information we have collected, subject to legal exceptions
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
Although we do not sell personal information for money, our use of advertising pixels may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. To opt out, you may adjust your browser cookie settings, use a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, or contact us using the details in Section 10.
To submit a request, email contactus@hi-techbuildersinc.com or call (888) 433-7155. We will verify your identity before responding, and will respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent, with proof of authorization.
Shine the Light
California Civil Code §1798.83 permits California residents to request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Reviewing and Changing Your Information
To review, update, or correct the information you submitted through the Site, contact us using the details in Section 10.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to complete your project, maintain warranty and licensing records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Quote requests that do not become projects are generally retained for [INSERT PERIOD, e.g. 24 months] and then deleted.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
